Cal. 40, 2 5/8" bottleneck. S#. 155064. Bbl. 30" octagon with Hartford address measuring 7/8" across flats at the muzzle. Sporting front with Lawrence patent rear sight. Blue finished bbl. with case colored action. Double set triggers. Pewter tipped walnut forend and straight grip stock with rifle buttplate. Weight 9 lbs, 4.4 oz. A note with the rifle indicates a ship date of November 18,1875. CONDITION: bbl. retains over 40% dull fading blue showing edge wear with spots of light corrosion. The action has largely faded to gray showing traces of case colors in protected areas. Original wood finish shows wear and age darkening with scattered scratches & marks.
